Cement factory

Cement factory

Found by the end of XIXth century, during the Austrian occupation of southern Poland. It soon became a major worldwide cement and dolomite provider, having the most modern clinker-furnaces in the whole Austrio-Hungarian Empire.
After Poland won its independence, in the 20s, the factory also produced concrete fences.
During World War II and Soviet rule the cement plant slowly declined and it bankrupted in the mid-90s.
